Q: What do you mean by anti-ligature?

Ligature-resistant products are designed to reduce the possibility of a ligature being attached to them. Our products are sold on the basis that the end client will assess the suitability of the product with regard to their specific application.

Q: What water pressure is required for the Thrii hand wash dryer?

For optimum operation a dynamic water flow pressure of between 1 & 4 bar is required.

Q: Can the Thrii hand wash dryer settings be adjusted as necessary?

The Thrii hand wash dryer can be configured to suit the end users requirements in terms of cycle sequence; cycle times and dryer speed (please see our Thrii settings adjustment video for details).

Q: What duct space is required to install the Thrii hand wash dryer?

A wall cavity depth of 250mm is required to install the Thrii hand wash dryer.

Q: What power rating is required for the Thrii hand wash dryer?

A 220-240 V 50Hz, single phase, 2.6 to 3.1kW (13 amp fused double pole switched spur) is required to power the Thrii hand wash dryer unit.

Q: Can the hand wash dryers be fed by a pre-mixed water supply?

All the hand wash dryer model variants can be supplied with our without an instantaneous water heater.

Q: Can the Thrii hand wash dryer use one type of soap to dispense in liquid or foam format?

If the correct specification of soap is used (please see contact Wallgate for details) the Thrii hand wash dryer can dispense in liquid or foam format.

Q: How easy is it to clean solid surface?

Solid surface is very easy to clean, please see our solid surface cleaning video for demonstration.

Q: How do you remove stains from the toilets?

We have a cleaning guide for solid surface and we can also provide a specialist cleaning kit if required (please see our cleaning kit).

Q: How do we install Wallgate products?

An installation guide accompanies the product within its packaging however; there is also guidance on the our website under the relevant products tab.

Q: The WDC controller says 'lockout' and the basin don’t work.

A 'lockout' function stops the user from flooding their cell/ bedroom after a certain amount of operations. This can be disabled via the menu settings as laid out in the product manual if it is not required.

Q: There is poor drainage on the basin and the waste grill is blocked.

The anti-ligature grill ensures that the open waste can not be accessed from the inside but does require effective cleaning to assist the basin from draining fully. We can supply a long bristled brush to help with the effective cleaning of the waste grill.

Q: Can the WDC control units be set to auto purge?

Yes the auto purge function can be set to operate on the number of days of inactivity for each product connected to the control unit.

Q: Can I adjust the shower run time on the WDC control unit?

Yes all settings are fully programmable.

Q: Can you supply spare keys for my Wallgate hand wash dryer units?

Yes, if we are given the model & serial number we can supply replacement keys.

Q: What is the cistern mounting height for the Wallgate electronic cistern?

The mounting height is 373mm from the centre line of the WC pan flush inlet to the underside of the cistern as detailed installation guide for models CISTFV01LH_3 & CISTFV01RH_3.

Q: Why do my Thrii hand wash dryer cut out during the water cycle and the dryer not come on?

The Thrii hand wash dryer is equipped with an energy saving feature, if hands are not sensed for a predetermined time the cycle will stop. When hands are kept in the range of the hand sensor the cycle will operate for its full duration.

Q: Are Wallgate hand wash dryers legionnaires compliant and what are the regulations?

Yes and information about legionnaires can be found on the HSE website.

Q: Do you have spares available for sanitaryware range?

Yes, we have a full range of spares available. Please contact our sales department or option 1 on 01722 744594.

Q: We have an electrical and/or water flow rate problem with one of our hand wash dryer units

Please have the electrics and/or water supply checked by the relevant certified electrician/plumber before reporting to us as a breakdown, as the services are not the responsibility of Wallgate to repair.

Q: We have a spare part we would like to purchase but are unsure of what part number to order

If you are able to email a photo(s) of the part required to service@wallgate.com and we’ll do our upmost to identify what the correct part number is. Alternatively please contact the sales department who will be able to assist.

Q: Our hand wash dryer units have poor drainage

Please ensure the waste is clear from debris and the waste trap is checked and cleaned. The waste services are not the responsibility of Wallgate.

Q: My WDC controller and product isn’t functioning, is there any testing I can carry out?

Please follow this checklist and if the Wallgate product is still not functioning properly please contact us.

Ensure that water supply is on and there is electrical power to your controller
Check that when the button is operated the correct read out is displayed on the control unit

Q: What is 'solid surface'?

All our cast solid surface sanitaryware is manufactured from a composite of fine-grade aluminium tri-hydrate filler (ATH) and the highest quality polyester resins. This provides a close knit molecular structure which is very tough and highly resistant to chemical attack. Coloured polyester chips can be blended with the mix to give a whole range of granite effect solid surface colours.

Q: What colours are available in your solid surface material?

We offer a range of standard colours available in granite effect or solid colour to suit most applications, including white, grey and our NHS blue – please see our colour range for details.

Q: What is the expected delivery period from receipt of my order?

All products are manufactured to order, and the normal delivery period is 20 working days from receipt of your order.

Q: Is carriage included?

Yes, carriage within mainland UK is included in the list price for all products excluding spares parts.

Q: Can I purchase direct from Wallgate?

Q: Do you offer a commissioning service for your products?

We provide a comprehensive commissioning service for all of our products. Please contact us for more details on the service.

Q: Why is my solenoid remaining open or not working?

Check direction of solenoid flow (see indication arrow on base of valve). Alternatively check for debris in the system restricting valve closure and replace if required.

Q: My aerator needs replacing but I cannot remove it. Do you sell aerator keys?

Yes we can supply aerator keys. Please contact us on +44 (0) 1722 744594 and speak to our team.

Q: Our products have been damaged is there a way to bring them back to the quality they were supplied to us?

You can actually repair and refinish our products yourselves by following our solid surface care and maintenance document. In extreme cases of physical damage, the product may require filling. This can usually be carried out in situ by one of our Wallgate engineers, (contact us for details).

Q: What is the mounting height for the WC cistern?

Please refer to the drawing as the mounting height depends on the cistern type.

All of our products have varying approvals; please refer to approvals section on the right hand side of the product web page.
